In this blog, we are going to step down the procedure to resolve JAM E1 and JAM E2 error in Brother Printer. JAM E1 message indicates the paper jam at the paper exit. Follow the below steps to fix it:
- First of all, you need to open the top cover of the printer.
- Now release the fusing unit pressure release levers and then open the rear access cover of the printer.
- Now you’ll notice the paper which is causing a jam on your printer, pull the jammed paper slowly to remove the paper from there and then close the Rear Access Cover.
- At last, you can reset the Fusing Unit Pressure Levers and close the Top Cover.

When the paper jam occurs at the transfer roller or the fusing roller in the printer, you are likely to get JAM D or JAM E2 error on your printer LCD. To fix the issue, follow the steps given below:
- First, open the Rear Access Cover and then hold the jammed paper from both hands and then pull it slowly towards you to remove it.
- If you see any jammed paper in the Registration roller, remove it slowly by pulling towards you and holding it using both hands.
- If you find any the jammed paper in the Fusing Roller then open the top cover.
- Now you need to release the Fusing Unit pressure Release levers on both sides and then remove the jammed paper.
- Reset or lock the Fusing Unit Pressure Release and close the Top Cover.
- Close the Rear Access Cover and it’s all done.
